The organizer of the Oyo State Man of the Year Award and the Oyo State Youth of the Year Award, Lewaj Africa Limited, has declared Alhaji Shakiru Adebayo, CEO Apex Fabrics, as the winner and who deserves the “Enthronement Seat”, after winning the contest with 13,143 votes, and Olamide Ojo-Philips, CEO Saphyr Events, as the “King of Boys” after winning the Youth of the year category with 38,211 votes.
In a keenly contested competition that lasted for 3weeks, 20 people contested in the two categories which ended on Thursday, 20th of January, 2022 around 11:59pm. Chief Omoniyi Obiyinka, CEO Extention Publication, emerged as the 1st runner-up with 11,715 votes, while Prof. Adeolu Akande, Chairman Nigeria Communication (NCC), was the 2nd runner-up with 22votes. In the 2nd category, Youth of the Year, Mr. Tolu Oluwo, CEO Trogworld, emerged as the 1st runner-up with 31,149votes, while Ademola Ajibola, CEO MAYA Awards emerged as 2nd runner-up with 16,432 votes.
While congratulating the winners, the convener of the event, Olalekan Olanrewaju OLA, admonished both the winners and the runners-up to build on the support they won from their fans and lovers.
“So, let me congratulate you as you’ve proven yourself to be a very strong, and highly influential personalities in Oyo State, and Nigeria.
“Build upon the foundation of support you won from your fans and lovers over this contest cycle, molding/channeling this learning experience into strengths moving forward in your future endeavors,” he concluded.
The main event to crown the winners and 2 runners up from the two categories will hold on Sunday 30th of January, 2022 at Manhattan Hall, Cruzer Lounge Place, Ibadan.
