Olakunle Akinsete, popularly known as Shete, is set to roll out the first batch of his POS and cash empowerment programme targeted at boosting economic activities in Ibadan South-West State Constituency II.
The initiative will see selected beneficiaries receive POS machines alongside cash support, enabling them to start or expand small-scale businesses within their communities. This intervention is aimed at enhancing financial inclusion, creating income opportunities, and supporting grassroots entrepreneurs.
Akinsete emphasized that the programme is part of his broader commitment to improving the welfare of his constituents through practical, people-oriented initiatives. He noted that empowering individuals with both tools and capital is essential for sustainable economic growth.
This first batch signals the beginning of a wider rollout, as more residents are expected to benefit in subsequent phases.
