Why I accepted Makinde’s appointment as DCOS – Ojo

Chief Ademola Ojo, a former Chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Oyo State Chapter says he has accepted the appointment offered him by Gov. Seyi Makinde.

Ojo told newsmen on Friday in a telephone interview that he accepted the position in the interest of Ibarapa political zone of the state.

It would be recalled that Makinde had on Friday offered Ojo the position of Deputy Chief of Staff.

The former ALGON chairman said that the appointment was a welcome development for the people of Ibarapa, who had already complained of the zone been marginalised.

He said that the appointment was not only coming to the Zone, but with Makinde’s pledge to execute people-oriented projects in the area.

Ojo thanked the governor for the appointment, promising that he, with the support of Ibarapa people reciprocate the gesture in the 2023 election.
