Why I Donate My Salary To Makinde – Oyo Worker

A male health worker under the Oyo State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Ajibolu Adeniran has donated his 2021 thirteen month’s salary to the Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde’s 55th birthday.

Adeniran who is a senior medical director at the State Hospital Management Board said the gesture was to appreciate the dedication of the governor to good governance, State welfare and regular payment of salaries.

According to a letter signed and sent to the governor on the 25th January, 2022, Dr. Ajibolu said “Your Excellency, it is with great pleasure that I wish to donate to your Excellency, the thirteenth month salary paid to me last December, this is in appreciation of your government’s dedication to good governance, staff welfare and regular payments of salaries.

“Sir, a Polaris Bank cheque of One Hundred and Seventy-Three Thousand Naira (#173,000.00), written in your name, is enclosed in this letter Sir, kindly take this as your birthday gift.”

In his reaction to the gesture, the State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun commended Dr. Ajibolu for the open show of love for the governor, tasking him and other workers in the State to rededicate themselves to the growth of the State.

Olatubosun added that many workers in Oyo State would like to show their joy towards what he called the governor’s unparalleled leadership traits and performances in different ways, which is an indication of good development.

“This is another pointer to the fact that our dear State is growing in leaps, the gesture of Dr. Ajibolu towards the governor portrayed a unique way of reciprocating the good deeds of the governor.

“Despite that many workers in Oyo State would love to show this same love in different ways to our amiable governor, I am appealing to the workers in Oyo State to rededicate themselves to their work in order to take the State to the desired height,” he mentioned.
