He said Sammie had imprinted his feet on the sands of time through diligence, creativity and passion for praising the Almighty God through music.
According to Ayefele, Sammie has joined the heavenly host in praising God.
The statement reads; “Psalm 34:18 – “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
“On behalf of my family, Merry Makers Band and Fresh FM Nigeria, it is with the deepest sense of grief that I express shock at the sudden death of Sammie Okposo. Sammie’s death on Friday the 25th of November, 2022, came to me as a big loss to the entire gospel music industry in Nigeria and globally.
“No doubt, Sammie had imprinted his feet on the sands of time through diligence, creativity and passion for praising the Almighty God through music. Even though he’s no more here with us, his numerous works of praise, which earned him local and international laurels, are still here to praise God and lift the souls those of the living.
“It is my fervent prayer that our God, the Consoler of the bereaved shall give the entire Okposo family the strength to bear the irreversible loss. Rest assured that Sammie has joined the heavenly host in praising God and we shall see meet again.
“As John 11:25-26, says “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.
“May the soul of the multiple award – winning Music Evangelist rest in the Bossom of the Lord.”
