The Men’s Missionary Union of the New Heritage Baptist Church, Eniosa, Ibadan has concluded arrangement to honour Rev. (Dr.) Samuel Adeyemi Akano, Engr. Timothy Olawale Falola and Mrs. Bolanle Oluyemisi Siyanbade with its Fathers’ Day honour for the distinguished personalities in Nigeria, “Father Abraham Distinguished Awards” in commemoration of 2023 United Nations Father’s Day celebration.
Speaking on the award, the Public Relations Officer of the Church, Mr. Adebowale Adeoye said the award presentation will take place between scheduled 11:30am and 12p.m. on Sunday 18th June, 2023, at the Church auditorium, along Quarters Road, Eniosa, Ibadan.
Discussing further about the awards, the Chairman of MMU of the Church, Mr. Tunde Oyekan said, “MMU of the NHBC initiated Father Abraham Distinguished Award to celebrate and acknowledge vital roles that real fathers are playing in the families, communities, cities, Oyo State and Nigeria as a nation.
“Each year, the MMU of the New Heritage Baptist Church Father’s Day Committee and the Church-in-Council select distinguished fathers who have demonstrated support, guidance and love to children in Nigeria to take out prestigious Fathers of the Year Awards.
“For 2023 edition, we have our father, Rev.(Dr.) Samuel Adeyemi Akano, the Moderator of Men’s Missionary Union, Ibadan Overcomers Baptist Association, from the Trinity Baptist Church, Ajobo Area, Ibadan to receive 2023 Highly Distinguished Father Of The Year Award. This is an annual award that goes to an exceptional father.
“Next award goes to our father, Engr. Timothy Olawale Falola from Iyanu Oluwa Baptist Church,
Off Arulogun Road, Ibadan, as 2023 Distinguished Father Of The Year Award, this award is designed for overall best father and captain of industries in Nigeria.
“The last but not the least this year is 2023 Most Distinguished Helpmate Of The Year Award, this is a maiden award initiated to appreciate women who are outstanding in their responsibilities as mothers and wives in their various families and also stand firmly in the Lord, this brand new award goes to our mother from the Women’s Missionary Union of the NHBC, Mrs. Bolanle S. Siyanbade.
“To the glory of God, we are celebrating the 3rd edition of the NHBC Father Abraham Distinguished Award this Sunday and we believe the programme will be a great success, God Almighty will bless and save many souls through this special programme in Jesus name, amen,” Oyekan prayed.
