Members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Oyo State, in their thousands on Thursday, unanimously adopted Governor Seyi Makinde for his second term bid and Joseph Tegbe, candidate vying for Oyo South senatorial seat on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

They noted that they are not collapsing the party structure for PDP but want to work with them.

While making the declaration and giving the reasons for showing readiness to work with the ruling party, the APGA state chairman, Chief Suraj Owolabi, commended Makinde for the unprecedented achievements recorded in Omituntun 1.0.

ā€œWhat Seyi Makindeā€™s administration is doing in Oyo State are things that I would have loved to do for my people if Iā€™m a governor.

ā€œThere can only be one governor at a time, so if he is there and heā€™s doing the right thing, I think the best thing for us is to support him and we should give him another chance to complete all the projects he has embacked upon for the benefit of the people,ā€ Owolabi said.

He added that other programmes highlighted by Makinde for the development of Oyo State, as contained in his ā€˜Omituntun 2.0,ā€™ were in tandem with the core values of APGA.
