The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Ibarapa Central/Ibarapa North Federal Constituency in Oyo state, Dr. Adebayo Adepoju better known as Ibarapa Kan has revealed the rationale behind “O to ge” mantra by the constituents.

He stated that “O to ge” was birthed in Ibarapa as a result of the backward state of the zone because of bad representation, saying the people are clamouring for efficient and effective representation as they deserve better.

Pacesetter News gathered that Hon. Ajibola Saubana Muraina is the current serving lawmaker of the zone and he is a third term member at the green chamber who is vying for the same position under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 election.

Adepoju told newsmen on Wednesday in Igbo-Ora at a media parley, that his desire to represent the constituency was borne out of genuine intention to make a difference.

The business mogul addressed developmental issues faced by the constituency and explained how he would tackle the challenges if given the opportunity to represent the people at the lower chamber.

He also promised to initiate bills that will improve the welfare of his constituents.

“Education, agriculture, infrastructural development, security, culture and tourism, sustainable youth empowerments and sports are my focal points for my constituency as regarding quality representation at the Green Chamber”, he assured.

Berating the efforts of the present lawmaker in the zone, he pointed out that he would use a different and pragmatic approach to bring much-needed succour to the Ibarapa Central/ Ibarapa North constituents.

“I will be offering something different compared to what the present representative has offered and I’ll make sure that I bring out the best we have in my constituency.

“I will make myself available and accessible to the people.

“The current lawmaker representing our constituency has exhausted his capacity to represent us very well as he has done little or nothing for the people,” he said.

Adepoju also mentioned that he would strive to “improve my people’s social-economic well-being by creating employment and provide enabling environment that would attract foreign investors to boost the economic welfare of my people in Ibarapa Central/Ibarapa Central Federal Constituency.”

Among other things, he promised to empower women and youths in education, including skills acquisition, encouraging and establishing SMEs.

He however charged the people of the zone to vote their conscience and not be induced to vote for any candidate.
