7 Apprehended Over Attack On Senator Teslim Folarin’s House

Men of the Oyo State joint security task force, Operation Burst, have apprehended 7 persons in connection with invasion and looting of empowerment materials worth N200 million naira at the Oluyole residence of Sen. Teslim Folarin.

Pacesetter news had earlier reported the invasion of the Oluyole residence of the Chairman Senate Committee on Local Contents and lawmaker representing Oyo Central Senatorial District in the red chamber and the looting of properties worth millions.

It was gathered that residents around the senator’s house alerted officers of the security operatives who carried out the operation.

It was also revealed to our correspondent that most of the equipment had been looted before the arrival of the security men while seven of the looters identified by the residents were arrested at the scene.

According to the lawmaker’s elder brother, Mr. Yinka Folarin, who spoke with journalists, stated that the materials were meant for 11 Local Government Areas that constitute Oyo Central Senatorial District.

He further added that the empowerment programme was postponed due to the state of the nation and has been scheduled for November 6th before the unfortunate incident.
