Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC- Oyo South) has congratulated Alhaji Olayide Abas, the State Deputy Chairman of All Progressives Congress(APC) in Oyo State on his 74th birthday.

Abas is a pharmacist, former chairman of Ifeloju (comprising Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North) Local Government and former Chairman of Oyo State Hospitals Management Board.
Alli said that as a former local government chairman, Abas was widely recognised for his astute administrative skills, respected community leadership, and principled political activism.
“As he marks this milestone age, it is worth looking back at the distinguished career and contributions he has made to the political landscape of Oyo State over the years.
“Over the years, Alhaji Olayide Abas has played a key role in shaping the political fortunes of Oyo State,” he said.
He described him as a politician who uses his political influence to bring real change and development to his community, saying such endeared him to many across the state.
“His contributions to the development of our state and country are immeasurable. He has worked tirelessly to promote peace, progress, and prosperity in our community, and we are all grateful for his selfless service,” he said.
Alli described him as a loyal, committed and consistent party man, who has been instrumental in ensuring that the party remained united and focused on delivering good governance to the people of Oyo State.
The lawmaker said that his strides in the political landscape of Oyo State have made a significant impact on the lives of many people.
He said that the celebrant was known for his inclusive leadership style as well as unwavering commitment to the principles of justice, fairness, and equity.
