It was a gathering of who-is-who at Daura city, Katsina State as the Emir of Daura, His Highness, Alhaji Dr. Umar Farouk Umar, CON recently installed Chief Dr. Anthony Aletor, mni, JP as the Ci-Garin Hausa at his Daura Palace.
Ci-Garin Hausa, the conqueror and the strategist of the Hausa land, was bestowed on Chief Tony Aletor for his unparalleled contributions and philanthropic gestures to the less privileged which has endeared him to the whole of Hausa land. According to the Emir, “We are installing you today as the Ci-Garin Hausa which is one of the highest ranking titles in the traditional set up. You have been part of us and many indigenes here have benefitted from your philanthropic gestures, particularly, in the area of scholarships to indigent students in Hausa land. On behalf of the whole Hausa Community, particularly, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, I hereby install you as the Ci-Garin Hausa”.
Describing the gesture as an historic one, the Ci-Garin Hausa, Chief Dr. Tony Aletor, mni, JP thanked President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, the Emir of Daura, His Highness, Alhaji Dr. Umar Farouk Umar, CON, his Chiefs and the whole Hausa Kingdom for finding him worthy of the great honour. “When the society recognizes one’s little efforts and contributions, one has to return all glory to the Almighty God for the grace. To me, it is a great honour and a further call to serve humanity and by the grace of God, I shall continue to do my best”, the renowned philanthropist and business mogul submitted.
Chief Dr. Tony Aletor, mni, JP, a consummate Insurance, Finance and investment professional is the Chairman, Capital Express Holdings Ltd. He holds the honorary title of Aare Bashorun Parakoyi of Ibadanland, Aradakan of Owo Kingdom, an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Leadership & Community Development from the Ecole Superieur d’Administration et d’Economie (ESAE-University), Cotonou, Benin Republic and was made a Justice of Peace by the Edo State Governor, His Excellency, Godwin Obaseki.
