A passionate and strong contender for Oyo State House of Assembly member in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ibadan Southwest Constituency II, Olayinka Faniyi, has urged Moslem Ummah to carry on with the principles and teachings of the holy month of Ramadan which are perseverance, sacrifice, love, peace, kindness, compassion and peaceful co-existence.
Faniyi advises Musilim faithfuls to use the period to pray for the peace and well being of the nation, especially Oyo state.
These were contained in a Sallah message she personally signed and made available to journalists on Monday.
“It is only when the principles of the season are sustained beyond Ramadan that the fasting period can be given its true meaning.
“During Ramadan, which is one of the important pillars of Islam, we were obliged to fast, shun evil actions, speak right and show love to one another.
“Above all, we should not draw back in our devotion to Allah, which is the ultimate of our faith”, she added
She further charged Muslims in the state, especially her constituents to keep faith alive and be ready to experience progress in the years ahead, assuring that the current challenges facing the Oyo will soon be a thing of the past.
Faniyi ceased the opportunity to urge them to demonstrate strong patriotic spirit as they register and collect their PVC as well as vote a candidate that will ensure they continue to have a sense of belonging and better welfare in the state, charging them to join hands with her to rebuild Oyo State.
