Senator Ayoade Adeseun has congratulated Dr. Zacchaeus Adedeji, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Revenue, on his appointment as Acting Chairman of Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).
This is contained in a statement issued by his spokesperson and made available to newsmen on Friday in Ibadan.
Adeseun stated that Adedeji’s appointment was a confirmation to his outstanding track record in public service.
He said that Adedeji’s appointment as Acting Chairman of FIRS, a critical institution in revenue generation and management of Nigeria’s resources was well-deserved.
Mayegun of Ogbomosoland added that Adedeji possessed the requisite knowledge, skills and experience to steer the affairs of FIRS.
Adeseun expressed confidence in Adedeji’s capability to further strengthen the agency’s capacity towards achieving its mandate of revenue collection and administration.
He said that the appointment was coming at a time when Nigeria needed individuals with deep sense of professionalism and integrity to manage critical institutions such as FIRS.
