The Senatorial Chairman of the Iba Gani Adams led Oodua Peopleās Congress (OPC) for Ibadanland, Alhaji Muritala Ifawale Adekola better known as E le Omo Buruku Danu has tackled the sacked Coordinator of the Yoruba socio-cultural group, Comrade Rotimi Oguntunde Olumo of drumming campaign of calumny against Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land.
He made the tackle while reacting to an allegation by the former Oyo OPC Coordinator of accusing the OPC National Coordinator and Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land, Iba Gani Adams.
When speaking with newsmen on Thursday, he called on Olumo to desist from the campaign of calumny against Iba Gani Adams who has parted ways with him following alleged Olumoās mismanagement of the affairs of the organisation when he was the Coordinator in Oyo State.
Alhaji Adekola, who is also the Balogun of Aba Aremu in Omi-Adio area of Ibadan described Olumo as a drawing person who is ready to hold on to anything in the bid to survive.
Speaking on activities of the sacked Coordinator, Alhaji Muri Omi noted that Olumo fell because he bite the finger that was feeding him.
āToo much of everything is not good. Money is not everything.
āWe should first ask Olumo if he is from Ibadan. Olumo who is from Kwara State precisely Offa cannot come to Ibadan, our fathers’ land to start bragging. Enough of his jam-talk.
āWe know Olumo as a welder before he joined OPC. Go and look at him now. Itās Iba Gani Adams that shaped his life. What on earth can we call someone that turns against the person that fed him? That person according to nature is an ingrate. Olumo is nothing!
āOlumo said he has left Iba Gani Adams led OPC to OPC New Era, why are they still using the system and uniforms introduced by Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land?
āWhy are they using the same uniform style Iba Gani Adams chose for his Monitoring Team and the uniform he chose for his Commandant? What of the uniform he introduced for his Intelligence Team and uniform he chose for his Advance Team? He did not change anything and he said he has joined another group.
āDo they want to be perpetrating criminal activities with the uniform of Gani Adams led OPC? If they should commit crime, people will think that itās Gani Adams led OPC and as a result they should use their brain and initiative instead of coping other peopleās initiativeā, Alhaji Muri cautions.
