Retirement: National Archives, Ibadan To Celebrate Deputy Director, Agunbiade

The National Archives, Ibadan Zonal Office staff are set to celebrate their boss and Deputy Director, Mrs. Medinat Funmilayo Agunbiade, who is going on retirement on the 23rd November 2023.

The Head of the Committee for the event and acting Deputy Director, Mrs. Taiwo Omolola Adeoye made the disclosure.

According to her, the ceremony is going to hold on Thursday, 29th November 2023, at the Ibadan National Archives Zonal Office, located inside University of Ibadan. The time is said to be12 noon.

Adeoye added that dignitaries expected to grace the occasion include the celebrant and members of her family, former Heads of Ibadan National Archives, former and present staff of Ibadan National Archives Staff, as well as friends and well-wishers.

Agunbiade Medinat Fumilayo, was born on the 23rd of November, 1963.
She attended LSMB Primary School, Pakata, Ilorin, between 1970 and 1976 and proceeded to Ajase Ipo Comprehensive High School, Ilorin, Kwara State, from 1978 to 1983 and A levels at Kwara State Polytechnic, 1983 to 1985.

Thereafter, she proceeded to the University of Ilorin in Kwara State where she bagged her first degree between 1987 and 1990 and Masters in Public Administration (MPA) 2010.

During her NYSC, Agunbiade Medinat Fumilayo, won an award as the best Youth Corper in Oyo State, 1990 and also NYSC Presidential State Award. This laudable performance gave her an automatic employment as Archivist II in January, 1993 at the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture ( National Archives) Ilorin.

Later, she was posted to the National Archives, Ibadan as the Zonal Director.

Medinat Fumilayo Agunbiade was employed as Archivist II and rose through the ranks to her present post of Deputy Director in the Federal Civil Service where she would be retiring.
