The Ibadan Obas, Chiefs, Family heads (Mogajis), Baales, and other prominent sons and daughters of Ibadanland have rejoiced with the Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Babatunde Enitan Ogunwusi and his wife, Olori Tobiloba Ogunwusi for giving birth to a twins.
The Chiefs described the new born babies as God’s gift to the throne of Ooni, Ife people and entire Yorubaland as a whole.
A statement by President of Ibadan Mogajis, Mogaji Asimiyu Ariori and Coordinator, Ibadan Compound Peace Initiative (ICPI), Mogaji Nurudeen Akinade stated that Ibadan people rejoice with Oba Ogunwusi and people of Ife for the unprecedented joy that came to the revered Ife palace.
According to the statement, the twin signified joy and happiness to Ooni household, describing the coming of the twin as uncommon and unprecedented for a monarch particularly a first class monarch like Ooni of Ife.
“Kabiyesi, we are happy to associate with you, we fecilitate with you over the twin God just gave your household, indeed, it is God’s favour to your throne and entire Yorubaland.
“This is a good news to the throne of Ooni, Ife and the entire Yoruba race, we rejoice with you, we are happy and elated to hear the news of your new born twins.”
The statement however prayed for the kind to live long, wishing the new born babies and their mother good health on earth.
