A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Engineer Oyedele Hakeem Alao (Allow Alao), has congratulated the Muslim Ummah in Ibadanland, Oyo State, Nigeria and around the world on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.
Alao in a statement he personally signed, urged the Muslim Ummah and Nigerians in general to emulate the sacrifices made by Prophet Ibrahim and his obedience to Almighty Allah, stating that it is important to be grateful to Allah for the privilege to celebrate Sallah regardless of their circumstances.
According to him, the celebration, which is Islam’s feast of sacrifice, is very significant to the faith of Muslims, as it reminds them of the imperative of unconditional obedience to Allah.
He said the best way to show gratitude to Allah is to share His blessings with neighbours and show love and kindness to all as taught by the Holy Prophet Mohammed (PBOH), calling on Nigerians not to lose hope but rather be fervent in prayers for the success of the administration of President Bola Tinubu as the current situation in the country is a passing phase in the historical process of nation-building.
He noted that the government under President Tinubu is determined to set the country on the path of greatness, adding that the reforms put in place by the government are targeted to correct the past mistakes and improve the country for all Nigerians.
He said, “I heartily felicitate with all Nigerians and in particular the Muslim Ummah in Ibadanland, our dear state and all over the country on the occasion of this year’s Eid El Kabir.
“Eid El Kabir as Islam’s feast of sacrifice, is very significant to our faith as it reminds us of the imperative of unconditional obedience to Allah. Through total submission to His will, we can confidently confront our challenges as individuals and as a nation, assured that Allah will intervene decisively at the most appropriate moment.
“As we celebrate the feast of sacrifice with worship, I enjoin us to be steadfast in praying for the country most especially the administration of President Tinubu that is striving to make the country a better place and comfortable home for all Nigerians.
“I wish Nigerians happy celebrations.”
