A total of 12, 000 students have been shortlisted to participate in the ongoing free holiday coaching organised by Hon. Musiliudeen Olaide Akinremi (a.k.a. Jagaban) for the SSS 2 and SSS 3 students in all the 12 wards across Ibadan North local government area of Oyo state.
The annual free holiday coaching for the students writing WAEC, NECO and JAMB (UTME) examinations, according to Akinremi Jagaban representing Ibadan North in the House of Representatives, is part of the electoral promises he made to advance quality education for the pupils.
The programme captured under the Educational Support Scheme of Prince Akinremi Foundation (PAF), will allow students enjoy free and qualitative teaching from teachers and instructors recruited across some best schools in Ibadanland.
The overall coordinator of the exercise, Mr. Adio Azeez Ajibola commended the lawmaker for the laudable programme, which they noted would ensure the success of Ibadan North students, both in the public and private schools, writing the forthcoming public examinations.
The four-week free coaching which started on Monday, August 5, will cover two major subjects, English and Mathematics, which are often the subjects considerable number of students performed poorly over the years.
Hon. Akinremi Jagaban Centres for Free Tutorial are Nawarudeen Grammar School, Inalende; Islamic Mission Primary School, Odoye; IMG Grammar School, Igosun; and Methodist Grammar School Ojurin, Bodija.
Other locations are Methodist Primary school, Asunle, Bodija; Emmanuel College, Samonda; Chesire High School, Poly Road; New Eden Primary School, Besides Premier Hotel and St Bridges School, Mokola.
Akinremi Jagaban urged all the students in Ibadan North to make the best use of the opportunity and be good ambassadors of the constituency at all times.
