Some members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibarapa Central Local Government Area of Oyo State have frowned at the reception of decampess of which was done by the Chairman, Disciplinary Committee, Park Management System (PMS), Mukaila Lamidi a.k.a Auxiliary and one of the governor of Oyo state allies, Mr Seye Famojuro, on Wednesday.

The PDP members, through their spokesperson, Liadi Adesokan, noted with disdain that those who received the decampees on behalf of the party are not card-carrying members of the party. They stated that the Chairman, Disciplinary Committee, Park Management System (PMS), Mukaila Lamidi a.k.a Auxiliary and one of the governor of Oyo state allies, Mr Seye Famojuro are not registered members of the party.

“We do not understand why it has to be the duo who would receive decampees on our behalf. As a matter of fact, the decampees led by one Adebayo Anthony Adepoju are not up to ten in number which makes the event not worth celebrating. The event was populated by members of Oyo State Park Management System led by its Chairman, Alhaji Auxiliary, as evidently shown in the pictures taken at gathering”

“Even the said Adepoju who contested for the Ibarapa North/Ibarapa Central House of Representatives seat under the flagship of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in the 2019 general elections, is just a US returnee who we can boldly say do not have any viable political structure in the local government not to talk of the constituency.

“It is also disheartening to note that Adepoju, had been given an appointment as the Chairman, Water Corporation of Oyo State since April, 2020, by the state government, when core PDP members who contributed immensely to the success of the party during the elections have not been considered.

“It is therefore, on this note that we call on the national body of our party under the able leadership of our chairman, Uche Secondus to intervene in this matter in order not to allow some unsrupulous elements to scuttle our party structure of which we have laboured for many years to build.” They said.

Expressing his disappointment over the marginalisation of Ibarapa zone, Mr. Kolawole Alade described PDP-led administration in Oyo State as shameless. “Politicians no get shame oooo u came to Igboora to campaign with d look of things can you tell us any development in that town? No good roads; No water; No good education”

“For over one Month no light ( They ON the light when U guys enter Igboora and they OFF immediately u Left)  I wish u live here for a week and see what am saying” he lamented.

Another indigene of Igboora, Fagbemi Olusegun, via Facebook commented as follows: “Sir, I wish to inform you that IBEDC people only brought light to Igboora today after about 3 weeks of darkness because of the expect visit of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde. Worse still is the fact that there are no fault anywhere, but they just like us to live in darkness. The power supply was immediately interrupted some minutes after the departure of the convoy that came for the political meeting. Kindly use your good office to help us check IBEDC people. Thanks sir.”
