The Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, has congratulated Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin on his emergence as the new Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria.
He emerged as the 12th Chairman at its 2023 Quarter Conference meeting held on Saturday in Abuja.
Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin who is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP emerged at a national meeting of the Conference in Abuja following the withdrawal of the Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Taiwo Oluomo from the race.
He is the youngest elected Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria.
The lawmaker representing Ogbomoso South State Constituency, Adedoyin said the emergence of the young lawmaker was a testament to his capacity to handle such national office.
He called on the new Chairman of the the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria to be upright in discharging his duties.
“On behalf of Oyo State House of Assembly, I appreciate the Conference of Speakers for their confidence in our eloquent Speaker, by giving him overwhelming support regardless of party difference.
“This is a pure indication of the fact that our Nation is ready to think above party sentiment and affiliation in our journey to manifest destiny “, he said.
