Adetunji mourns death of Osun PDP chieftain, Muibi Odegbenle

Hon. Soji Adetunji, the lawmaker representing Odo-Otin/ Ifelodun/ Boripe Federal Constituency has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of PDP Chieftain in Osun state, Mr. Muibi Odegbenle. 

 

This is contained in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Thursday in Osogbo

 

Muibi Yemi Odegbenle, popularly known as Laga passed away recently.

 

Adetunji said that the late Odegbenle will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

 

The lawmaker said that the news of Odegbenle’s demise has left him and his entire team devastated, as they mourn the loss of a dear friend and partner.

 

He described the late Odegbenle as a dedicated and passionate leader, who profoundly impacted the lives of the people.

 

“As a committed member of the PDP, Odegbenle contributed immensely to the growth and success of the party at the grassroots level.

 

“His deep-rooted connection with the people and his unwavering support for Honourable Adetunji’s political aspirations will be dearly missed, ” he said.

 

Adetunji said that Odegbenle’s demise has created a huge vacuum in the political landscape of Odo-Otin Local Government.

 

He expressed condolences to the bereaved family, urging them to take solace in the fact that Odegbenle lived a life of purpose and impact.

 

“I am appealing to PDP members Odo-Otin Local Government to remain united during this difficult time.

 

“They should reflect on the late Odegbenle’s legacy and continue to strive for the progress as well as development of their community,” he said.

 

The lawmaker, who condoled with the family, prayed that Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant his soul Al-Jannat Firdaos.

 

Adetunji prayed that Allah grant the family, PDP, political associates and friends the fortitude to bear the huge loss.
