Alli charges Muslims to pray for Nigeria leaders as Ramadan starts

The Senator elect for Oyo South senatorial district, Akogun Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli on Wednesday urged Muslim Ummah in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole to continue praying for return of peace and prosperity to the country.

 

Alli also said with the advent of the Holy Month of Ramadan 2023 (1444 AH), there is need for Nigerians to use the holy month to seek for the face of Allah, return of peace to the country and improved economy.

 

The Senator-elect in a statement he personally signed described the month of Ramadan as “uncommon opportunity” for Muslim Ummah to seek for forgiveness from Allah.

 

According to him, there is need for Muslim Ummah in Oyo State, Nigeria and all over the world to continue praying for the country and leaders, especially the recently elected leaders in Nigeria.

 

“I want to use this opportunity to congratulate all Muslim Ummah in Oyo State, Nigeria and the whole world as we begin this year month of Ramadan. As Muslims, we must use this month to seek for forgiveness from God. We must also use the month to seek for return of peace to the country.

 

“As servant of Allah, we must not toy with the privilege of uncommon opportunity we derive from Allah in this holy month of Ramadan. I therefore urge all Muslims in Oyo state, Nigeria and the whole world to use the opportunity of this holy month to pray for elected leaders, especially in the just concluded elections in Nigeria.”
