Alli reacts to Tinubu’s victory at PEPC, says APC, Nigerians vindicated 

Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has extended his heartfelt congratulations to President Bola Tinubu on his victory at the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC).

 

This is contained in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas and made available to newsmen on Thursday in Ibadan.

The five justices of the court in a 12-hour judgment unanimously affirmed Tinubu’s victory in the February 25, 2023 presidential election, dismissing the petitions filed against him by the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Labour Party (LP) and People’s Democratic Party(PDP).

 

Alli, the Senate Committee Chairman on INEC said that Tinubu’s victory at the PEPC coincided with his victory at the National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

 

He described the victory as an affirmation of the mandate overwhelmingly given to them by Nigerians at the 2023 general elections.

 

The lawmaker rejoiced with Tinubu, a revered statesman and leader, on the victory, saying it has put to rest the frivolous legal protests impeding the progress of governance in Nigeria.

 

Alli salute Tinubu’s uncommon courage and resilience in defending his mandate at the PEPC, saying his victory has been vindicated with the judgment delivered.

 

He expressed confidence that Tinubu’s victory was a testament to the faith of Nigerians in the APC and its good governance policies.

 

The lawmaker assured that Tinubu’s leadership qualities would continue to take the nation to greater heights.

 

Alli extended his goodwill messages to the Party Chairman, former Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje, National Secretary, Senator Basiru Ajibola, other APC leaders and faithfuls for their steadfastness as well as unwavering support during this process.

 

He prayed that God would continue to guide and strengthen the president in his leadership role in the country.

 

The lawmaker wished the APC and Nigeria the best as they continue to work towards a greater Nigeria.
