Local Party Chairmen of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Oke-Ogun Zone of Oyo State have expressed solidarities and sympathies with the lawmaker representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Senator Teslim Folarin over the invasion of his private residence by some hoodlums hiding under the guise of the #EndSARS protest on Saturday 24th October, 2020.
In a press statement signed by its spokesperson and APC Chairman (Kajola LGA), Alh. (Hon) Salami Isiaka Lekan (Ladubu); the chairmen said, “It is very unfortunate that the hoodlums shattered the entrance doors and window of the great lawmaker carting away properties and personal effects worth millions of naira and no fewer than 350 motorcycles, 400 deep freezers, 350 generators, grinding machines, sewing machines, hairdressing and barbing salon materials, vulcanising machines and many more, which were meant for December 5 Mega empowerment scheme in Oyo Central Senatorial District”.
“The action of the hoodlums are very barbaric and condemnable. It is very disappointing that such is happening under a democratic governance”.
“On behalf of the entire APC Okeogun, Chairmen of All Progressive Congress (APC) and beyond, we extend our sympathy to you; Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin and Oyo Central Senatorial District”.
The APC chairmen who oversee the party affairs in Kajola, Iseyin, Iwajowa, Itesiwaju, Saki West, Saki East, Atisbo, Olorunsogo, Oorelope and Irepo local government areas, urged the three-term senator not relent in the pursuit of those lofty ideals he has been known for over the years.
“We encourage you to keep the flag flying in alleviating poverty among the poorer of the poor citizens of the Oyo State. May the Almighty Allah (SWT) continue to bless you with his love, mercy, protection, and uplift your values with peace of mind” the statement concluded.
