APGA governorship candidate wins polling unit for Makinde


The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde has won the polling unit of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), governorship candidate in the state, Adeshina Adewale.


At Ward 4, Unit 21, Oja-Igbo, governor Makinde polled 124 votes to beat his rival in APC who scored 49, while Accord candidate have 0 vote.


Recall that Adeshina, together with his party before the governorship election endorsed Makinde, describing Makinde’s achievements in the last few years as unprecedented.


The APGA candidate in his remarks said, “Despite intimidation, we put effort together and make sure we deliver our unit for governor Makinde.


“As far as this election is concerned, I have won my polling unit for governor Makinde, he deserve it because he has performed beyond expectations.


“Oyo state will experience massive development during the second term of Makinde, we shall all enjoy dividends of democracy in the Omituntun 2.0.


Makinde had earlier said people in the state, not any God fathers will determine who to vote as governor of the state.
