Asigangan’s death, a huge loss – Ayandele mourns

Dr. Olusola Ayandele, a community leader and Chieftain of All Progressives Congress has described the death of Oba Abdul- Azeez Adeoye Adewuyi, Aribiyan II, Gbadewolu 1, the Asigangan of Igangan land as a great loss to Ibarapa land. 

Ayandele disclosed in a condolence message signed by his Personal Assistant, Sola Adeleke and made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Ibadan.

Oba Adeoye joined his ancestors in the early hours of Tuesday during a brief illness, few days after the demise of another prominent traditional ruler, Oba Jimoh Oyewunmi, the Soun of Ogbomoso.

The APC chieftain described the demise of the traditional ruler as a huge to Igangan, Ibarapa land and Oyo State in general.

“I have received the tragic news of the demise of our king, who died in the early hours of Tuesday during a brief illness. This is a great loss for Ibarapa land and indeed the Yoruba race.

“Our father was a dogged fighter and very courageous. He was a great leader who loves and stand by his people at every situation,” Ayandele said.

He recalled the efforts and courage of the late Oba Adeoye during the recent travail of Igangan Community in the hands of some unknown gunmen.

Ayandele expressed condolence to the family, Igangan community, the traditional institution and the people of Oyo State.

“We will miss Kabiyesi’s love, support and  wisdom. You lived a fulfilled life and the good people of Ibarapa will forever be remembered.

“May the Lord grant the family and good people of Iganganland fortitude to bear the loss. May his soul rest in peace,” he said.
