Former Nigeria’s Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has commended the Inspector General of Police for banning SARS.
The former Vice President made the commendation in Minna after a closed-door meeting with former Military President, General Ibrahim Babangida.
Atiku noted that the ban was timely, stressing that SARS Unit was no longer operating based on its mandate of securing the citizens of the country.
He described as unfortunate, the fact that the men who were professionally trained to protect the citizens became a nightmare to them.
