The Central Council of Ibadan Indigienes (CCII), the Jagun Olubadan, Engr. Dotun Sanusi, Ibadan Mogajis, Baales, Babaloja and Iyaloja General General of Oyo state Alh Yekini Abass and Alhaja Sarata Aduke Konibaje have felicitated with the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr. Bayo Lawal on the occasion of his birthday anniversary.
They described the Deputy Governor as one of the foremost, great and patriotic Oke Ogun man who is passionate about the progress, growth and development of Oyo state.
A statement jointly signed by President of Ibadan Mogajis, Mogaji Asimiyu Ariori and Coordinator, Ibadan Compound Peace Initiative (ICPI), Mogaji Nurudeen Akinade stated that the deputy governor’s love for Ibadanland and the state at large was what earned him Most Patriotic Friend of Ibadan (MPFI), an award CCII intend to bestow on him at his forthcoming Ibadan Week.
The duo said the MPFI award will be one of the most precious birthday gifts the Deputy Governor would receive for his birthday.
The statement said Ibadan people joined families, friends, associates and the people of Oyo State to celebrate the Oyo Deputy Governor, describing him as an astute technocrat, administrator and politician of note.
The statement lauded Lawal’s contributions to governance and development of Oyo at different capacities.
