The Coalition of Presidential Campaign Council of Support Groups (CPCC), Oyo State, has congratulated five prominent leaders from the state on their appointments into the PBAT Campaign Organisation and Presidential Campaign Council, while appealing to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the campaign leadership to recognise, include and actively engage the coalition in the campaign structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The coalition, which described itself as a major grassroots mobilisation network in Oyo State, said its support groups had contributed to the mobilisation and delivery of votes for the President in previous elections and remained prepared to work towards an even stronger victory in 2027.

In a congratulatory statement jointly signed by the Chief Coordinator of CPCC Support Groups in Oyo State, Hon. Yemi Akinwale ‘JP’ (Havana), and the General Secretary, Hon. Mrs Aminat Morakinyo, the coalition expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for finding Oyo State leaders worthy of strategic appointments in the campaign organisation.

The beneficiaries are Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin, appointed Oyo State Coordinator of the PBAT Campaign Organisation; Engr. Raufu Olaniyam, appointed Zonal Coordinator for Agro-Allied Sector Mobilisation in the South-West; and Hon. Zacch Adelabu Adedeji, appointed Deputy Director of Fundraising.

Others are Engr. Hakeem Alao Oyedele, popularly known as Allow Alao, appointed Zonal Coordinator for Stakeholder Mobilisation in the South-West, and Hon. Akinjide Kazeem Akinola, named Deputy Director of Grassroots Engagement and Mobilisation in the Presidential Campaign Council.

While congratulating the appointees, CPCC described their appointments as recognition of the leadership capacity, loyalty and competence of Oyo State progressives, pledging to work with them to mobilise support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid.

The coalition, however, placed particular emphasis on its request for recognition and inclusion, urging the campaign leadership to give organised support groups in Oyo State a place in the campaign structure commensurate with their grassroots contributions.

“As the coalition of all support groups in Oyo State that mobilised, canvassed and delivered at the grassroots, we humbly seek recognition, inclusion and active engagement during this campaign and after the victory. We are ready, we are organised, and we are on ground,” the statement said.

CPCC stressed that its request was not merely for acknowledgement but for meaningful participation and engagement that would enable its members to contribute their organisational strength, grassroots networks and mobilisation experience to the success of the 2027 campaign.

The coalition maintained that effective collaboration between the campaign leadership and support groups would strengthen grassroots mobilisation, improve coordination and help secure widespread support for the President across Oyo State.

“We promise to work with our leaders, as we did before, to deliver Oyo State overwhelmingly for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu come 2027. We did it before, and by God’s grace, we will do it again, even bigger,” the statement added.

CPCC wished the newly appointed leaders success in their assignments and expressed hope that the campaign organisation would give support groups the necessary recognition and opportunities to contribute meaningfully to the forthcoming electoral process.
