Despite hiccups and misunderstanding that trailed the choice of candidates especially gubernatorial in Oyo state chapter of the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC), one of its gubernatorial aspirants, Chief Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli on Monday said the party would still win the 2019 elections in the state.
A press statement by his Director of Media and Publicity, Comrade Taiwo Ibrahim said Sharafadeen also expressed his appreciation to the teeming members of the party who thronged out in large numbers at the venue of the party primaries yesterday to elect a candidate of their choice.
Sharafadeen observed that despite the hot weather, the people still expressed their unflinching love for the party and ready to partake in a democratic process that will carry their flag.
The gubernatorial hopeful also appreciated the doggedness of the members of the National Executive Committee as well as that of the state executive of the party for their desire to entrench an unparalleled democratic process as a cardinal principle to bring a new order to Oyo State politics.
He said this couldn’t have been much better if not for the experience and the steadfastness of all the leaders of the party to have a a party that will serve as a model for others to worship.
He stressed that in politics, there will always be paramount issues to arise and the ability to put them in right perspectives make people to distinguish the bron from the brain.
“Let’s appeal for calm as a glorious dawn has come and we shall all have cause to glorify our God,” Sharafadeen Alli concluded.
