The authority of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo has joined the Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin dynasty of Eruwa in mourning the death of Mrs. Justina Ogundoyin, mother of the Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, who gave up the ghost recently.

In a letter addressed to the Honourable Speaker and signed by the College Ag. Registrar & Secretary to Council, Mrs. Olubunmi S. Asunmo, a copy of which was made available to our correspondent, the letter reads, “It is with great sadness and shock that we learnt of the demise of your mother, Chief (Mrs.) Justina Ogundoyin. On behalf of the distinguished members of the 14th Governing Council, ably led by Prof. Matthew O. Odedokun, College Management, Staff and Students of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo, I wish to convey to you our deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences following the death of your mother at this sad time of loss and mourning.

“Commonly expressed, death is inevitable, but the loss of a loved one, especially a mother, can be unfathomably painful. Even at a very old age, we all desire to continue to see our loving mothers strong and living.”

The letter further reads, “For the death of Chief (Mrs.) Justina Ogundoyin, please accept our condolences as a means of expressing our sympathy. Indeed, the sorrow of losing parents, especially a mother, is to the extreme and an emotionally severe one.

“Confidently, Mama must have been a source of progress, cheerfulness, courage and pillar upon which many people rested. We want to admonish that you take solace in the fact that every soul has its death coupon already issued depending on when, where and how. It is most certain that we will all embark on eternal journey someday.

“May the good Lord give Chief Ogundoyin’s family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss. May you find peace and inner comfort soon”, the Chief Administrative Officer submitted.
