Ex-NUJ Chairman, Soladoye heads Pa Adebunmi burial committee

A former Chairman of the Oyo State Council, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Mogaji Soladoye Adewole was on Tuesday appointed to lead the burial committee of a late Veteran Journalist, Prince Adebisi Adebunmi who died on Monday in Ibadan at the age of 81.

The Chairman of the Union, Ademola Babalola at a meeting with the family of the deceased-octogenarian said Adewole was best suited to midwife a befitting burial for the deceased.

Others to work with him are High Chief Dupe Ogunleye (deceased niece); Seun Adebunmi (son); Mrs. Bisi Yomi-Layinka (ex-Chairperson of women journalists, NAWOJ); a representative of Veteran Journalists, Mr. Bisi Bakare;
Jeremiah Oke representing Correspondents’ Chapel (deceased’s aboriginal chapel) and State Secretary of NUJ, Sola Oladapo, who doubles as the Committee’s Secretary.

The meeting also tentatively agreed on February 3rd and 4th for the burial programmes.

Babalola prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased, just as he tasked the Committee to ensure a colourful ‘celebration of life well spent’ for the late journalist and pillar of support to his administration.
