FCAAN Releases Time Table for 2022 Courses in 15 States

The leadership of Football Coaches Association of African Nations (FCAAN) after series of deliberations has released the road map for its courses which span across F’ to B’ certificate courses for the year 2022.

The courses are expected to start as early as April and will spread across 15 states of the federation, with the Northern region to be fully complimented on board as released.

The Northern region had not really enjoyed from the previous courses due to the challenges in that section of the country; apart from some few coaches who had to travel several kilometres to be part of the knowledge sharing which has repositioned Nigerian coaches.

With the new breath of life and FCAAN’s policy statement to visit every nook and crannies coming to reposition Coaching education, states like Jigawa, Kano, Kaduna, and Yola, have been considered by the leading coaching education brand in Africa.

According to FCAAN president, Dr. Terry Babatunde Eguaoje who spoke from FCAAN headquarters in America, more coaches still need to come on board to ensure that more Nigerian coaches are equipped with necessary knowledge so as to further improve the level of knowledge impacted to our players. He said despite FCAAN ‘s successes recorded in 2021, the education body will not lower it’s guard, hence the critical analysis of the situation of things, which will open more visitations to more states especially in the Northern part of the country.

“We recorded tremendous success in 2021 despite COVID-19 slowing things down in 2020.

“We will build on this gains and stay committed to help and improve Nigerian football”.

The newly appointed Global Technical Director of FCAAN, Eldred Sunju-Abbey added “FCAAN is positioned and poised for an improved year and the management had worked tirelessly to ensure that we have an hitch free year as we roll out a more innovative and dynamic curriculum”.

He also spoke of moving to the northern part of the federation saying our brothers and sisters from that region are excitingly expectant and itching to enroll and join the family.
We hold Nigeria and in deed Africa the responsibility of improving the knowledge of the beautiful round leather game and we would stop at nothing towards repositioning Coaching education.

The F course which is foundational will run throughout the year across the 15 states earmarked for the courses, the E certificates Course will run between June and August across five states. Three states have been earmarked for the D course which is expected to run between May and September while the C course is scheduled for two locations of Lagos and Abuja and is expected to hold in September / October . The B course which will be the biggest for the year and for any Nigerian coach will also hold either in Lagos or Abuja in November.
