Clubkonnect, Nigeria’s topmost merchant of telecoms and utilities products partners JCI Ibadan Elite towards achieving her afforestation drive goals in the city of Ibadan and environ.
Clubkonnect General Manager – Mr. Joseph Oyebanji in an interview with our correspondent disclosed that the era of leaving it all to the Local, State or Federal Government is long gone and the need to collaborate with notable non-governmental and civil society organizations such as JCI is the way to go in complimenting the efforts of the government and embracing the change order.
He further stated that the menace of deforestation in Ibadan and Nigeria at large is alarming and its impact on our environment is hazardous to the well-being and quality of life of every inhabitants. The causes of climate change according to experts is not unconnected to the incessant deforestation.
To minimize air pollution, and in turn, enhance the greenhouse effect that is contributing to global warming is one of the reasons we have stretched for partnership with the renowned Junior Chamber International Ibadan Elite, he concluded.
It is imperative to note that the future we all hope to witness begins with a plan being implemented today, otherwise the unexpected experience would be unavoidable and imminent. We are joining hands with JCI Ibadan Elite having seen their tracks of excellence and having understood the end goal of their well planned Nurture-a-tree project.
Mr. Olanrewaju Alawode, the 2023 President of JCI Ibadan Elite hinted that the nurture a tree project was one of the numerous initiatives of the organization aimed at addressing the impact of climate change on the people, to make the country a better place for all.
