Ibarapa group renews commitment to strengthening APC, inaugurates ward representatives

New Era APC, a political group in Ibarapa Central Local Government area of Oyo State, has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

 

The group, in a statement jointly signed by its Chairman, Hon. Wale Adeoye, and Secretary, Hon. Surajudeen Adegbite, emphasised the need for unity, justice, equity and fairness in the party.

 

The statement made available to newsmen, reports that the group’s representatives across the 10 wards in Ibarapa Central were inaugurated on Sunday.

 

The group expressed confidence that APC remained strong enough to reclaim power from the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2027.

 

Alhaji Habib Ibrahim, a former Executive Chairman of the local government, stressed the importance of setting aside past divisions and working together to ensure a harmonious relationship within the party.

 

Similarly some former caretaker chairmen in the local government area,

Hon. Sarafa Olaoniye and Hon. Gbemileke Olawoore, urged the representatives to promote party unity and mobilise more members for the APC’s success in 2027.

 

They reassured members that the group was not in opposition to the party leadership, but rather a support system to enhance its electoral fortunes.

 

Also speaking, Mr. Adisa Akintola, a party chieftain, encouraged the new representatives to remain steadfast in their loyalty to the party, assuring them that their dedication would be duly rewarded when the APC wins in 2027.

 

The group commended President Bola Tinubu for his efforts in restructuring the country and appealed for improved electricity supply in Ibarapa to support local businesses while driving economic development.

 

In response, the newly inaugurated Ward Representatives pledged their commitment to working collectively to secure victory for the APC in the next general elections.
