The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on Wednesday, has flagged off the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccination in the state.
Makinde received the vaccine at the State Executive Council Chamber, Governor’s Office around 12:20 p.m. in the presence of top government officials in the state.
The Governor while speaking after the flag off in Ibadan, he stated that the first phase of the vaccination is mainly for frontline health workers.
The vaccine was administered by the Executive Secretary of Oyo State Primary Healthcare Board.
