A former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftancy Matters in Oyo State and current Federal Commissioner at the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission, Bimbo Kolade has revealed that there are some forces in the Oyo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress who are working against the interest of the party from within to frustrate the on-going reconciliation in the party.
He lamented while responding to Aanuoluwapo Omorinde on BOTTOM LINE, a weekly political programme on IBR 92.5fm Ibadan monitored by our correspondent.
According to him, “if you are coming back to our party, it behoves you to come in peace to rebuild the wall that is cracked. We know that there is a crack in Oyo APC but don’t come and destroy the remaining wall”.
While expressing his opinion on APC leadership crisis against those who are antagonizing Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala, the former Commissioner regretted that some Politicians do not know the ethics of the progressive party.
He said “former Governor Alao-Akala is a member of the APC. Within the fold today, God has blessed him. As it is today, he is the Most qualified. We know ourselves”
Affirming the interest of Bola Tinubu in Oyo APC, he dismissed the insinuation that the interest of the acclaimed National Leader of the APC is causing ripples in the party.
“Let me tell you one thing, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu is one master game player. He knows the right button to press per time. He is the national Leader of the party and everyone has come to terms with that fact”.
“Irrespective of our various interests, I believe we can all achieve our aims come 2023″.
Ahead of the 2023 elections, Kolade said nobody in Oyo will sit down and foist and candidate on the party at Any level.
