The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Oyo State Council has felicitated the Ajia Balogun of Ibadanland, Olooye Adegboyega Adegoke on his birthday, describing the Ibadan born renowned businessman and philanthropist, as a foremost investor and a philanthropist par excellence, who has used his wealth to develop the socio-economic and human development of the state and the country as a whole.
This was contained in a press release by the Chairman and Secretary of Oyo NUJ, Ademola Babalola and Sola Oladapo respectfully.
NUJ said Olooye Adegoke who is the Executive Director Finance and Chief Financial Officer of OES Energy Services, and Chairman/CEO Channel 8 Group of Hotels has used his philanthropic gesture to train many Oyo state youths and women on entrepreneurial skills, including enormous support to the widows in the state.
According to the release , “Olooye Adegoke is known for his patriotism and kind heartedness, who is always making sacrifices to safeguard human and capital development.
“The business mogul remains a shining example of the virtues of choosing entrepreneurship from an early age. He had pursued his career with diligence and perseverance to build some of the state’s largest hotel centre.
“The humility, simplicity and cosmopolitan outlook of the entrepreneur who defies ethnic and religious persuasions in extending support to the poor and vulnerable and providing employment opportunities without discrimination.
“We acknowledge Olooye Adegoke’s role in bolstering the economy through continuous engagement and counseling,
inspiring and mentoring young Nigerians to greatness on best practices in promoting the ease of doing business”.
NUJ prayed that almighty God would continue to protect the foremost entrepreneur and his family, and grant him more strength and grace to do more for the state, the country and humanity in general.
