Oyo State recorded 100 fresh cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 1,155. Despite the spike, the state maintains 4th position on the national COVID-19 log.
The new active cases were revealed in the routine update released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The NEWS CARRIER NIGERIA understands that No. of Cases on admission in Oyo COVID-19 facilities are 854; Number of Discharged patients are 292 and Number of Deaths recorded stands at 9.
On the 24th of June 2020, 649 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigerian. Having carried out 120,108 tests, 22,020 cases have been confirmed, 7,613 cases have been discharged and 542 deaths have been recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The 649 new cases of COVID-19 are reported as follows; Lagos-250, Oyo-100, Plateau-40, Delta-40, Abia-28, Kaduna-27, Ogun-22, Edo-20, Akwa Ibom-18, Kwara-17, FCT-17, Enugu-14, Niger-13, Adamawa-13, Bayelsa-7, Osun-6, Bauchi-6, Anambra-4, Gombe-3, Sokoto-2, Imo-1 ,Kano-1
