The Ayingun Olubadan of Ibadan Land and Senator representing Oyo central senatorial district, Oloye Teslim Folarin has congratulated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba (Dr.) Saliu Adetunji Akanmu (Aje Ogunguniso 1) as the paramount traditional ruler clocks 92 years of age.
In a goodwill message contained in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Comrade YSO Olaniyi, Oloye Folarin described the monarch as a father to all who does not discriminate along ethnic, religious, gender or political affiliation.
“I heartily celebrate my father and our Imperial King on the occasion of his 92nd birthday anniversary. Dear Kabiyesi, I am proud to be your loving son, subject and senior chief as your reign is witnessing peace, harmony and developments.
“Thank you for the fatherly role you have been playing before and after your emergence as the Olubadan of Ibadanland. May ALLAH continue to strengthen you to be able to do more” the statement partly read.
Oloye Folarin while urging the first-class monarch not to relent in the promotion and sustenance of Yorùbá culture and tradition, also prayed Allah to grant Kabiyesi a long life, wisdom and the strength to rule the good people of Ibadanland for many more years.
Further more, the Ayingun Olubadan of Ibadanland called on the people and residents of Ibadan join hands with the king so as to make Ibadanland a peaceful place for everybody and to make it grow for a better future.
