“We’ll achieve a better Nigeria soon,” Peller expresses hope as the country turns 63

The former House of Representatives member, Honourable Shina Abiola Peller, has expressed optimism that a better Nigeria will be achieved soon if all can collectively take advantage of the country’s numerous huge natural and human capital resources, embrace and leverage its unity in diversity.

The former lawmaker, who is the Ayedero of Yorubaland, stated this in his goodwill message to Nigerians on the country’s 63rd Independence Anniversary, which he issued and shared on his verified social media platforms and with the media on Sunday.

While acknowledging the fact that the country is confronted with various challenges, Honourable Peller urged all to contribute their own quota right from their immediate environment to achieving a better Nigeria that all, including the incoming generations, will be proud of. He added that making Nigeria better a task for all patriotic Nigerians.

Also, the Oke Ogun-born businessman cum politician emphasized the vital roles of the youth in building and achieving a formidable country that the world will reckon with, adding that the youth are the reason everyone hopes for a better future.

Importantly, he charged all Nigerians, irrespective of ethnic, religious and political differences, to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his team with prayers, best wishes and other necessary means so that they can deliver excellently.

The statement reads in full:

“Today marks another significant day in the history of our beloved country as a sovereign nation, and this is wishing all Nigerians, Happy 63rd Independence Anniversary.

Notwithstanding various challenges we are confronted with as a nation, knowing that ours is a country blessed with huge natural and human capital resources is enough to celebrate our existence and be hopeful of a better Nigeria sooner or later.

“Our diversity is our strength, as a multi-cultural nation with almost four hundred diverse ethnic groups and over five hundred various native languages, let’s embrace unity in order to leverage on this strength in the overall interest of our country.

“Importantly, we must note that for us to achieve a greater Nigeria that all, including the generations yet unborn, will be proud of, our peaceful coexistence, irrespective of our ethnic, religious and political affiliation, is key. Without peace, no meaningful progress can be made.

“Moreover, making Nigeria better is a task which requires everyone’s contribution, particularly from our ever enduring, resilient and innovative youths; truly the youth are the reason we are very hopeful of a better future.

“Finally, as patriotic Nigerians, it is very important that we support our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his team with prayers, best wishes and all other means that we may deem fit so that they can govern us in the right direction as we collectively work towards achieving a better Nigeria for all. God bless Federal Republic of Nigeria! Amen.”
