Who Is Ademola Babalola?

Alhaji Ismail Ademola Babalola was born on the 8th September 1976 to the Babalola’s family of Ode-Aje in Ibadan.

 

He started his primary school at IMG Primary School, Ode-Aje Ibadan in 1982 and left in 1988. He thereafter proceeded to Lagelu Grammar School Ibadan for his secondary education and graduated in 1994. After leaving Lagelu Grammar School, Demola chose to go to The Polytechnic, Ibadan where he graduated with upper credit in Music Technology.

 

Popularly called ‘Dembab’, he had his compulsory Youth National service in Taraba state where he was given a state award as the best corps member of the year.

 

Demola, being a dynamic human being endowed with multi-dimensional talents, however, began his professional career by joining Oyo-Echo Newspaper in the year 2000 and left the place in 2003. He subsequently crossed over to Oodua Newspaper as a Feature Editor and made his marks before leaving the place in 2005 to further strengthen his career in journalism field by joining New Age Newspaper rising to the position of a Senior Editor.

With a quest to explore journalism field, Demola moved to a newly established compass newspaper where he performed so creditably well that he caught a niche for himself professionally and became a delight of many readers for his captivating column.

 

With a passion for a positive change and a development of professional career in journalism, he has had many courses in journalism profession. He had Masters in Psychology from the premier University of Ibadan.

 

Demola performed his holy pilgrimage in the year 2012 and has been contributing to the expansion of Islam ever since then.

He is a social person, and he is a friend to many creme de la creme in the society who is a community leader that is well known for his good sense of judgement.

He was a former Director Shooting Stars Sports Club and a Rotarian and Lion Club members.

Dembab is happily married and blessed with admirable children.

 

He is currently the Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Oyo State chapter.
