A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Hon. Akinwole Akinwale, has described the demise of the mother of the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, as a great loss to the state.

Akinwole, former Ogbomoso North Council Secretary, said this in Ogbomoso on Thursday when he heard about the death of the governor’s mother.

ā€œThe demise of Madam Abigail Omojolagbe Makinde is a glorious home call of an irreplaceable matriarch.

ā€œI wish to commiserate with the Governor of Oyo state Engr. Seyi Makinde and the entire family on the passage of their matriarch.

ā€œThe death of mama is indeed a great loss, not just to the Makinde’s family, but the entire state.

ā€œWe can all attest to the fact that mama lived a fulfilled and exemplary life and this is worthy of emulation,ā€ Wolekanle said.

He added that the deceased would be greatly missed for her motherly role, timely advice, support and consistent prayer for the Makindes and the state at large.

ā€œMama has left an indelible mark and she indeed lived for mankind. There is no gainsaying that God has blessed Oyo State through the fruits of her womb,ā€ he stated.

Akinwole prayed to God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
