A former Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Oloye Sharafadeen Alli has congratulated the Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District, Senator Abdulfatai Omotayo Buhari as he clocks 56 on Sunday.

He described him as a grassroot mobilizer and a ‘Senator with a difference’.

The chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in a statement he personally signed in Ibadan on Sunday further described Senator Buhari as devoted Muslim, embodiment of knowledge, a scholar, and result-oriented individual who believes in the development of Oyo state.

According to Alli, the contributions of the celebrant to national development and to his constituency in about two decades are very laudable.

He recalled how the Senator confronted men of the Nigeria Customs Service when they killed about five people on Salah eve in Iseyin Local Government area of Oyo State, saying; “his role then was commendable.”

The statement reads:

“Senator Buhari has demonstrated good leadership qualities in his constituency, even while in the House of Representatives. He is ‘Omoluabi’ per excellence. I congratulate him and pray for many years of his contribution to national development.

“As a grassroot mobilizer and a Senator with a difference, Senator Buhari is a devoted Muslim, an embodiment of knowledge, a scholar, and detribalised Nigeria.

“He believes in development of his people and see Nigeria as a project that we must all nurture to succeed. As a brother, friend and colleague, Abdulfatai has in many ways over the years proved his love for the country.

“His confrontation with men of Nigeria customs service when some unscrupulous officers killed about five people in Iseyin Local Government area of the state is a testimony of his love for the people. Our distinguished Senator is brave and courageous. I join numerous friends, families, constituents, and supporters to wish you long life and prosperity.”
