Former Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala has said that it will be unfair to assess the performance of Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state in twelve months. He said Engr. Seyi Makinde still has three years to prove himself.

Otunba Alao-Akala stated this in an exclusive interview to commemorate his forthcoming 70th birthday anniversary. According to him, “The day is still very young to rate the current government in Oyo State, Governor Seyi Makinde yet to spend a reasonable number of years of their tenure in office. We need to give him sometime before embarking on assessment exercise”.

“Going by my experience as an elder stateman, former chairman, deputy governor and governor, the best time to have a good and serious assessment of any administration is when the tenure lapses”.

“I can’t say anything about him now, I will only pray that God should help him as the right time to assess, rate and judge any administration is after they leave office” he stressed.

The Ogbomoso-born politician will officially clock 70years on June 3rd 2020.
