Senator Teslim Folarin, gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC has said that history will continue to remember late former Governor Adebayo Alao Akala as an apostle of politics-without-bitterness.
Folarin made this known in a one year remembrance message made available to newsmen on Thursday, in Ibadan, the state capital.
The Asaaju Olubadan of Ibadanland described the late Governor as welfarist public administrator and leader of leaders.
The statement reads in part: “On this day, 12th January 2022, we lost a thoughtful father, welfarist public administrator and leader of leaders, His Excellency Otunba (Dr.) Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala (Otun of the Source).
“History will continue to remember Oyato Governor of Oyo State as an apostle of politics-without-bitterness, exemplary grassroots developer, phenomenal leader and great philanthropist.
“We will always remember Omo Iya Alaro as a man of uncommon grace and compassion, for whom abandoning bitterness and embracing adversaries was not just a political strategy but a way of life.
“Rest on Great Leader and Number One supporter of Itesiwaju Ipinle Oyo 2023.
“We sorely miss you, Oga Wa!”
