The countdown has officially begun for the much-anticipated 6th edition of the Oyo Social Media and Distinguished Personalities Awards, as excitement continues to build across Oyo State ahead of the grand ceremony.
The prestigious event, organized by the OmoIyaKunmi Foundation under the leadership of renowned philanthropist and social influencer, Alhaji Akinkinmi Saheed Siyanbola, popularly known as Omo Iya Kunmi, is scheduled to hold on Sunday, May 31, 2026.
The ceremony will take place at Tees Events Hall, Ilora Road, Oyo, by 12 noon, and is expected to attract influential personalities, entertainers, political leaders, business executives, media practitioners, and social media influencers from different parts of the state and beyond.
As part of preparations for the event, organizers have unveiled ticket categories for intending guests and supporters. The Regular ticket is pegged at ₦3,000, VIP access at ₦5,000, while premium table reservations are available at ₦40,000 for a table of four and ₦50,000 for a table of five.
This year’s edition promises to be one of the biggest so far, with a total of 49 recognitions lined up to honour outstanding individuals who have distinguished themselves in leadership, humanitarian service, entrepreneurship, media, entertainment, and social influence.
Speaking ahead of the ceremony, Omo Iya Kunmi reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to celebrating excellence and encouraging young people to use their influence positively for societal development.
