Senator representing Oyo South in the 9th national Assembly, Dr. Mohammed Kola Balogun has described the death of Chief Bode Akindele, the Parakoyi of Ibadan Land and Chairman of Madandola Group as a terrible blow, loss of a patriot and good business mentor to the younger generation.
Dr. Kola Balogun in a statement by his Special Adviser on media, Hon. Rotimi Johnson Ojasope, said Chief Bode Akindele was a great businessman and philanthropist.
“He was a shining example of upright Nigerian businessman of international repute, with arms of his conglomerate in many countries. “This is yet another terrible blow but we take solace in the fact that he finished strong and very accomplished at 87 years. Baba Akindele was indeed a very great man in every ramification”.
Senator Kola Balogun condoled with the immediate family members, the Governor of Oyo State, the Olubadan of Ibadan, the good people of Ibadan, Oyo State and Nigeria in general.
He prayed that God gives the family and associates the fortitude to bear the loss and continue from where Baba Akindele stopped.
