Approach court to reclaim your mandate, Oyo APGA guber candidate tells Tegbe

The governorship candidate of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Oyo State, Adeshina Adewale, better known as Excel on Tuesday charged candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo South Senatorial District, Engr. Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe to approach court of law so as to reclaim his mandate allegedly stolen by All Progressives Congress (APC).

He said the election that produced Barr. Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli of APC was not free, fair and credible.

Recall that candidate of APC, Alli, a former Secretary to Oyo State Government polled 111,513 votes to defeat his close opponent, Olasunkanmi Tegbe of PDP who scored 92,481 votes.

Speaking in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, Adeshina noted that court remains the best place for Tegbe to reclaim his alleged stolen mandate.

According to him, the election was free in some areas in the Senatorial District, but Ido/Ibarapa Federal constituency elections were characterized with various irregularities.

He said, “The results were unfair. How would someone from major city won Ibadan Northeast/Southeast, Ibadan Northwest/Southwest, Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North, but at the end of the day lose out? So the results from Ido/Ibarapa East will now decide who win Oyo South Senatorial District?

“INEC should tell Nigerians what happened in Ido/Ibarapa. Can INEC come out and defend the votes that came out from Ido/Ibarapa constituency?

“There were lot of manipulation of votes in Ido/Ibarapa, they should provide us the total numbers of accredited voters and the BVAS machines used to capture them.

“Out of five federal constituency, PDP won three, while APC won just two, unfortunately, the person that won two was declared winner, so I don’t see election of Oyo South Senatorial District as free and fair election.”
