Ibadan Mogajis, Chiefs, others thank Tinubu, congratulate Adelabu over appointment as Power Minister

Ibadan Mogajis, Chiefs and prominents indigenes of Ibadanland have thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over recent portfolio given to the former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Chief Adebayo Adelabu as substantive Minister of Power.

 

They congratulate Adelabu for the new post, saying Adelabu has what it takes to perform in his new office considering his achievements in public and private sectors.

 

A statement jointly signed by the President, Association of Mogajis of Ibadanland, Mogaji Asimiyu Ariori and the General Secretary, Mogaji Allen Tunji Ajala, Mogaji Odugade knocks critics saying Adelabu would have been deployed to financial related Ministry instead of Power Ministry.

 

Recall that President Tinubu recently gave portfolio to Ministers he appointed after much expectations from Nigerians to know which offices these Ministers would be assigned.

 

The statement noted that under Adelabu, Nigeria power sector would experience massive turn around which will assist in actualising the renewed hope agenda of Tinubu’s government.

 

“We urge President Tinubu to consider Ibadan for more appointments. We are committed to success of his administration as Nigerian president.

 

“We believe Adelabu would perform well and will not disappoint us, Ibadan is blessed with illustrious sons and daughters who are doing great exploit in their various fields. We are the pace setter state, we lead and others follow. We are happy with the choice of Adelabu.”

 

In the statement, they pray for successful tenure for Adelabu, adding that Tinubu will not regret appointing him as one of his Ministers.
